A new concept of hospitality with ecological influence is born in this unique and still preserved environment: PRINCESSE BORA LODGE & SPA. The hotel is located in a vast palm tree grove right next to a white sand beach and the lagoon. To make your stay even more memorable we strongly recommend you to go and visit Coco Bay and Clipper Bay, two private beaches belonging to the hotel which are surrounded by a large forest of coconut trees. Staying at the PRINCESSE BORA LODGE & SPA means enjoying luxury and authenticity in one single place. Let your senses guide you… Be at the end of the world… Far, very far from mass tourism. The PRINCESSE BORA LODGE & SPA is a marvellous hotel located in one of the world’s last authentic and preserved places: Sainte-Marie Island. In this eco-friendly hotel the real luxury lies in its unique surroundings: the large palm tree grove and its tropical plants, the magic view on the lagoon, the noble materials used in each villa. In other words a miraculous place out of the race of time. The beach, situated in front of the hotel, is several kilometres long and goes until the southern point of Sainte-Marie Island and the other Island: Île aux Nattes The wooden pontoon, which overlooks the lagoon, is the ideal starting point for your different nautical activities: snorkeling, scuba diving, kayak, water-skiing, wakeboard, etc. The PRINCESSE BORA LODGE & SPA and its ecological contribution One hundred and eighty years ago our ancestors stopped on Sainte-Marie Island on their way to the Indies. Five generations later we wanted to pay tribute to them by creating the PRINCESSE BORA LODGE & SPA: a hotel respectful of the social and ecological environments of Sainte-Marie Island. The PRINCESSE BORA LODGE & SPA and its social contribution The hotel is involved in the observation of humpback whales (commonly known as “whale watching”) and closely works with Megaptera, an association involved in the protection of these marine mammals. Thanks to this collaboration, Megaptera has acquired a unique knowledge concerning humpback whales. In addition, the hotel works towards the economic and social life of Sainte-Marie Island. The majority of our staff (approximately 90 employees) comes from nearby villages. More importantly, the hotel favours the use of local products to sustain the local economy and is also involved in educational projects, in particular with the school of Vohilava.
